Holidays to Delhi - An Experience, A Life
By:Gaurav Ks

Delhi city is acclaimed for being the cultural capital of India. The spectacular architecture of Delhi city is evident through its antique monuments. This city witnesses an interesting blend of diverse cultures (some even 5000 years old).

Delhi has always had a mysterious eternity, the city having witnessed empires rise to glory and fall to ashes. The contemporary Delhi is a culmination of seven cities built by different emperors. Ruins of this ancient city are found even today and now these are converted to some major tourist attractions. Among some spectacular historic sites, the most prominent ones are: Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, India Gate, Lotus temple, Humayun tomb and Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. Delhi is truly a symbol of the old and the new; a blend of ancient well preserved monuments and temples along with jam-packed burger joints and up market shopping malls.

Delhi tourism cannot be complete without walking on the roads of chandani chowk. It is one of the exotic places to visit if you are in Delhi. It is one of the oldest markets of India and makes way from many narrow lanes and countless shops of various sizes. The place witnesses temple, mosque, Gurudwara and church under one roof.

The city is lashed with a plethora of temples, forts, mosques as well as parks, gardens and beautiful colonial mansions. Delhi may seem daunting to a first time visitor but as a national capital and the gateway to the North, it is a must visit city on any travelers itinerary. Impressive museums and interesting nightlife, Delhi Tourism has a lot to offer for everyone.

The best time to visit Delhi is during the months of February to April and August to November because during these months the city of Delhi experiences a pleasant climate. Otherwise Delhi has very unfavorable climatic condition like very hot in summer and very cold in winter.

Go to vibrant shopping complex of Connaught Place, Delhi Haat for handicraft goods and delicious food bonanza. Also visit to Red Fort and Qutub Minar to view the excellence of Mughal architecture.

Delhi is a famous destination for the mixed religion & communities in India & also has an excellent historical past as everybody knows about the origin of Delhi in India. Lots of money, Lots of entertainment, Lots of business opportunities, lots of work, Lots of fun, a city that never sleeps.
