Agra, a city steeped in glorious history is one of the most sparkling jewel in the crown of India. It is a home to the 7th wonder of the world, which attracts tourists from across the world. Located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, this historic city is truly a must-see destination of North India.

Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal is a poetry written in marble by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. This 7th wonder of the world is a perfect amalgamation of the Persian, Ottoman, Indian and Islamic styles of architecture. Its architectural beauty earned it the title of 'World Heritage Site'. This white domed marble mausoleum is a great gift to the world. The interiors of this mind blowing monument boasts of intricate carvings, inscriptions, jali work and much more. Agra Fort

Built in red sandstone, the Fort has arresting structures such as Diwan-e-Khas, Diwan-e-Am, Sheesh Mahal, Anguri Bagh, Khas Mahal, Mina Masjid and Musamman Burj.

Sikandra

Holding great significance, Sikandra is the place famous for the Sikandra Tomb. This Tomb belongs to the great Mughal Emperor Akbar. The architecture of the Tomb encompasses the Hindu, Christan, Islamic, Buddhist and Jain styles of architecture. The entrance to the huge flawlessly arched gateway is one of the striking features. The walls of the tomb are beautifully carved with the words-Allah-o-Akbar(God is Great) and the name of the deities of 99 religious sects.

Fatehpur Sikri

It is a captivating site founded by Akbar as his gratitude to the saint Shaikh Salim Chishti who once lived in a city named Sikri. With the blessings of this saint Akbar was blessed with three sons. This historic site is one of the finest examples of the blend of the Hindu and Muslim architecture. The Sikri Mosque is a copy of the mosque in Mecca.
