THE ROLE
As Online English Teacher/Instructor (office-based), you will:
• Facilitate a class with students enrolled in China. For online encounters, you will assess and provide detailed feedback on the individual student performance.
• Work closely with a senior teacher or supervisor.
• Be responsible for logging any student complaints or special needs cases that arise during classes. You will communicate this with the corresponding China-based center so that WSE China staff can effectively intervene.
• Work with a flexible schedule throughout the year including working evenings, weekends and over holiday periods.

LOCATION
• Goodland Building, Buendia Avenue, Makati City, Philippines

QUALIFICATIONS
• College diploma or above required or degree equivalent
• Over 12 months of online teaching experience at a reputable institute
• Teaching experience strongly preferred, especially related to language teaching
• Preferably CELTA, TEFL, TESOL or ESL Certified
• Other candidates may be considered
REQUIRED SKILLS
• High level of English proficiency
• Effective communicator to students of all levels of ability
• Demonstrable knowledge of teaching techniques, especially language-related teaching
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity using the Windows operating system
• Good organizational skills
• Familiarity with web conferencing software including Cisco WebEx, Skype, and QQ

ABILITIES
• Adapt teaching style to assessment-based methods and provide evaluative feedback
• Create and organize logical lesson plans for students of all levels
• Strong ability to multitask
• Customer service oriented in the delivery of your classes
• Pleasant and engaging in interactions with students
• Can maximize the WSE class resources and materials
• Versatile in leveraging your personal creativity when appropriate
• Willing to engage in continuing professional development and training
• Strives to stay informed and supportive of policies and regulations applicable to your position
• Openness to expanding cultural awareness in relation to Adult Chinese ESL Learners
SCHEDULE
• 40 contracted hours per week
• 2 days off per week
• Schedules are fixed. However, flexibility is needed to accommodate morning or afternoon shifts during a regular work week
• Schedules are no earlier than 6am and no later than 10pm
Shift examples:
o 06:00 – 14:00
o 13:00 – 21:00
o 09:30 – 17:30

A typical office day will include:
o 6 hours of teaching time
o 1 hour paid lunch break
o 1 hour of planning time
• WSE observes Chinese public holidays

SALARY (FIXED, MONTHLY)
• 60,000 PHP – gross monthly (before taxes)
