ONLINE STEM OR MONTESSORI ESL TEACHER

Pay: $12-15 USD/hour / $16-19 CAD/hour as a contract employee. Toronto-based company.

Overview

As an online tutor, you will deliver either STEM or Montessori lessons to groups of young students (10-15 students in a group). Guiding and supporting students to develop and fulfill their academic potential using high energy and engaging teaching methods to encourage participation. Training and curriculum will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
· Deliver instructional activities (curriculum provided) that facilitate active learning in a group setting.
· Observe and evaluate student's performance and development (minimal assessment and grading required)
· Use technology to support instruction
· Encourage and monitor the progress of individual student
· Participate in training and meetings as required

Education and Experience
· College diploma or university degree completed
· TESL, TESOL, TEFL is preferred
· Experience teaching STEM or Montessori required

· Stable high-speed internet connection is required
· You are at ease with technology, and able to adapt when things don't go as planned
· Contagious high energy level that makes kids want to learn
· Flexibility and adaptability to switch things up when a lesson plan doesn't work
· You are an early bird, happy to work early morning hours (6am-10am ET)
