Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced, native English speaking Primary and/or Secondary School teacher to join our teaching staff with the specific remit to teach English literacy based skills throughout years 1 to 10, ages 6-15

Responsibilities include overall curriculum design and development for GAL School, a new, innovative, bilingual school in the city of Cusco based on the principles of active, personalised learning. Our school has a fun and hardworking atmosphere, and we are seeking a native English speaking teacher to complete our team.

Teaching hours- contact time- you will be required to teach 6 classes a day of 45 minutes
Non-contact time- given 3 hours within timetable for preparation, marking and general administration
Other Duties –may include contributions to the English literacy of the school community

The commitment will be from 15 February 2018 - 15 December 2018 at a minimum. The successful applicant will have experience managing the classroom atmosphere to ensure a balance of active learning, fun and student engagement and maximising the academic achievement appropriate to each individual student. Class sizes – limited to no more than 22 in primary and 25 in secondary classrooms.
