Procredit Academy Language Assistant

The ProCredit Language Centre offers residential courses in Fusagasuga throughout the year for staff from our Latin American banks. To support our team of daytime teachers, we are currently recruiting enthusiastic English language assistants.

ProCredit Language Centre is a division of ProCredit Academy, an internal training facility that provides a part-time programme for management staff in the ProCredit group. Headed by a parent company in Frankfurt am Main, the group consists of 21 banks in Latin America, Africa and Eastern Europe. Unlike many language centres, we tailor our lessons to the needs of our students and do not rely heavily on textbook methods. We always incorporate a diverse range of social and academic subjects in the programme, and you will be given ample opportunity to experiment and develop your own style with the support of a small and friendly team.

Your main responsibilities will be:
• leading evening activities such as games and debates as well as weekend excursions
• moderating conversation classes with small groups
• helping students to prepare presentations and essays
• assisting in classroom activities with the option of delivering lessons on occasion

The ideal candidate will:
• be a native English speaker
• have a CELTA, language teaching experience preferred
• have a good knowledge of Spanish
• be based in Colombia
• have a degree in any subject, but ideally economics, humanities or the natural sciences
• have strong social skills and an open mind
• have leadership skills
• have an ability to work with an international group of highly motivated adults

Highly qualified candidates will be invited to attend an on-site interview and observation.
Courses last 6 weeks with a one week break between courses.

This is a full time position. Negotiable salary, depending on experience.
Full board accommodation is provided here at the academy during the courses.
