Native English-speaking teacher required.

A new tutorial centre in the beautiful Cameron Highlands is looking for a qualified teacher to teach English. The centre is new but has the support of the local community as well as the education department, and is much needed to help the local students improve their English.

The centre is located in the beautiful Cameron Highlands (2 hours from Ipoh). Unlike the lowlands, the weather is lovely and cool which is why the British turned the place into their cool retreat from the sweltering heat.

Qualifications and Requirements

Native-English Speaker (a clear British accent is preferable)Bachelor's Degree in any field
TEFL/TESOL certificate (CELTA/Trinity)
25 – 55 years old
At least 1 year of teaching experience (particularly with children)
Available to start work from June 2014
Must be sensitive to other cultures and different learning abilities
Flexible, willing to work as part of a small team
Basic Job Description

Teaching mainly primary and secondary school students to achieve their national curriculum objectives using modern and progressive TEFL techniquesClass sizes do not exceed 15 students
Occasional teaching for adult classes including a conversation club
Teaching hours are from 10am to 8pm Monday to Saturday (timetable is staggered so there are breaks in the times and/or days)
