Re: Green Tea: The Japanese Secret to Good Health
In Response To: Green Tea: The Japanese Secret to Good Health (Jon Stout)
Dear Mr. Stout,
I am a high school student currently participating in the Hudson County Science Fair. My experiment revolves around the effect of various concentrations of different types of tea on oral bacteria Streptococcus mutans and Streptococcus salivarius. I have become intrigued by this article and its conclusion that green tea contains the vital compounds which reduces the rates of oral cancer. However, my results expressed that white tea inhibits the growth of dental cavity and tooth decay causing bacteria. Therefore, I was wondering If you have any explanation for this, or an interpretation of my experiment.
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Marie G.
