It is illegal to come to Korea and work on a tourist visa. You generally have to have a bachelors degree as a min requirement. The TALK program that allows you to teach without one, however you need at least some college to do that. If you get caught, you will get arrested, deported and fined. The US Embassy can not assist with legal problems related to working illegally, so you would be in some pretty hot water if you did get caught.
