Travel, Teach, Live in Korea
I stayed with Top for three years and was offered a fourth. A death in the family was one reason for passing on year four. Not wanting to spend another winter getting around on my beloved motorcycle was another.
I was not the easiest person to work with, and yet I lasted. I spent over one year doing a homestay with the owners. (Yes, there appeared to be some stress in that marriage, but, what marriage doesn't have its less than blissful moments?) I remember them as being tolerant of foreigners.
Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that things have gone downhill. I remember the owner as being one who paid on time and did not "forget" about contracts.
Shortly after the coup in Thailand, I moved back to Korea for as many years as I can get before returning to my condos in Siam. I am in Gangwon now. My Thai wife wants to see where I used to work, and I want to rent a motorcycle and visit Jeonju. I'll certainly stop by Top when we make the trip. I'm really curious to see for myself.
