Eating at a restaurant
To order food in a restaurant, you will first need to decipher the menu. Below are some basic vocabulary words to help you with this task. It might be a good idea to print this list and have it handy when you look at the menu.
When ordering your food you should say “Por Favor, Quiero (pronounced kee-ye-ro) and then the word for the food that you want to order.

Caliente — hot (temperature) or warm Understanding and ordering food from a menu in Spanish will take some practice before you are comfortable with the vocabulary words. Repetition of these words will help you to memorize them.
