Description
THE SCHOOL: Winpenny Primary School (Private, co-educational, bi-lingual)STUDENTS: No. of Students max. 25 per class.
COURSES: Winpenny Elementary School programme is in English and Spanish. The English programme covers all areas of language skills including vocabulary, grammar and written assignments. Additional to that, a Science programme from Harcourt Publishers.
Grades 3 to 6 are using ibooks and macbooks as an extra learning tool in the classrooms. Grades 1 and 2 use a mobile lab (for laptops).
Teachers operate an interactive white board in all elementary grades.
French, Music & Gym are special classes given by specialized teachers during the week. Computer classes are given by the class teacher in English.
TEACHERS : Teaching ESL, Bachelor degree or a qualified Elementary teacher just graduating from college. Winpenny’s teachers are hard working, energetic, loving and caring people who enjoy working with young children. Winpenny philosophy is based on love and care (emotional growth being just as important as academics) and is known to be a well-structured school. Harmony amongst staff members and teamwork is a must, so as to provide a happy working atmosphere. It would be to their advantage if they have a strong background in arts & crafts.

TEACHERS’ ARRIVAL: Teachers will be collected at the airport by school transport.
TRAVEL EXPENSES:Return flights paid upon completion of contract.
ACCOMMODATION: Basic accommodation is provided by the school. The accommodation will have cooking appliances and washing facilities. Teachers are responsible for paying gas, electricity, telephone, internet and Sky bills depending on consumption.
LOCATION: The school is located 10 minutes away from the biggest Mall in Mexico City which has restaurants, bars, coffees, cinemas, shops and a gym. Within walking distance there is a supermarket (Wal-Mart) and a plaza. SAMS, COSTCO and other major supermarkets are within 10 minutes driving distance.
A beautiful forest is located 10 minutes by car, where you can jog, bike, walk, etc. Mexico City has subway system, buses, vans and taxis. The climate is warm most of the year, although it does get fresh in winter, and rainy season in general is from May until August. Mexico City’s population is approximately 23 million, and the school is located on the outskirts. Also located nearby are 2 ice rinks, and other Malls with all amenities.
CONTRACT: Duration August 2008 – July 2009 renewable
VISA: No visa is required to enter the country. They enter as a tourist and here we will process the working visa. OTHER INFORMATION We recommend teachers bring all types of clothing and their own towels.
