Our school, located in one of the prettiest sides of the city in Cipreses de Curridabat, east of San José, was established in Costa Rica 20 years ago. Almost in 4 hectares, SEK campus includes separate areas for the Preschool, the Elementary school and the Secondary school. We also offer 2 Computer labs, Wi-Fi, 4 Science laboratories, a library, a gym with a heated swimming pool, an infirmary, a cafeteria, an administration building, large green areas and a playground for the little ones.

Our school offers a diverse curriculum filled with opportunities for the students to broaden their horizons. Our committed and dedicated teachers along with the small class setting have allowed us to reach a higher level of education.

We follow thematic units throughout the year. Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Computers, English, Mandarin, Art, Swimming, Karate are some of the 2008 school curriculum. Daily extra curricular activities are offered from 4:00 to 5:00. The school day includes lunch and a snack.

SEK - Costa Rica offers two calendars. We have students who start classes in February and end in December (Costa Rican Educational System) and students who begin in August ending classes in June. (International Calendar available only for grades 8-11).

We offer cultural and sport travel abroad programs among the 12 different countries that SEK has. There is one located in Boca Raton, Florida, and another in UK for our students to improve their English proficiency.
