School:American School of Monterrey

The American School of Monterrey is a private, international day school founded in 1928 to provide students with a US type education. We function as one school, and we have a campus for Nursery through Fifth Grade and another campus for Sixth Grade through Twelfth.

Accredited by AdvancED. ASFM is a private day school founded in 1928 to provide a college preparatory program for Mexican, American and International students. The school meets the needs of children whose parents are Mexican government or business professionals, or are assigned to Monterrey from the United States or other countries. With the exception of Spanish Language and Spanish Literature, the language of instruction for all courses is English. Our curriculum meets the requirements of both the American High School Diploma and the Mexican Bachillerato, while offering a wide range of Advanced Placement courses and an extra-curricular program encouraging student development through drama, music and athletics. Our campus is divided into the elementary campus (Nursery-5) and the middle school/high school campus offering grades 6 through 12. Built in 1996, the MS/HS campus is a state-of-the-art facility featuring 10 fully equipped science labs, 6 computer labs, 62 teaching classrooms, a black-box theatre, a 500-seat auditorium, and a 14,000-volume library with 28 eMacs and 13 wireless iBooks for student use.
