Welcome to Chapel School, currently celebrating 60 years of service to the international community of São Paulo, Brazil.

Chapel School is located in a quiet, residential section of São Paulo and is home to 700 students from pre-school to high school. Our staff and students represent more than 20 nationalities, providing Chapel with an international flair that is recognized and celebrated. Being a Catholic school, we value our strong Christian ideals. However, our religious backgrounds are as diverse as our community with families of all faiths and creeds enrolled.

As an American international school, Chapel prepares its students for achievement on a global level as the community works together to ensure the success of each of its members. The language of instruction for all courses is English, with the exception of those required by the Brazilian program. Since our students will attend colleges in various countries around the globe, our curriculum is designed to achieve a Brazilian, American, and IB diploma. This curriculum encourages the moral, intellectual, social and physical growth of our students and helps them achieve success wherever their lives lead them.

Living in Sao Paulo:
With an estimated population of 17 million people, greater São Paulo is one of the largest cities in the world. This makes it one of the best places in the country for food, art, and entertainment comparable to many world capitals.

Because of the incredible ethnic diversity within the city, Paulistanos enjoy almost every kind of cuisine in the many different neighborhoods. São Paulo division into smaller, diverse bairros, each with their own unique flavor, makes a large city highly accessible. Whether you are enjoying a cheap snack in one of the million street-side lanchonetes, hopping between museums or art galleries in the city centre, or spending an afternoon in Parque Ibirapuera where you can run, join a soccer game, listen to an open air concert, check out contemporary art or simply people watch, it is possible to never be bored in São Paulo.

After you’ve sampled everything São Paulo has to offer, head off to one of the many beaches within the state, an hour or two away by car, to relax and enjoy the Brazilian warmth you’ll find wherever you go.
