Colegio Gran Bretaña was founded in September 1997 with the aim of offering children in Bogotá a high quality education in a challenging international environment for learning. The programme of study is based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales, delivered in English, with the addition of a global approach to social studies, the Colombian Sociales programme, and Spanish language tuition for all students. The school is a distinct choice for members of the English-speaking community in Bogotá, and for children of all nationalities who have, or desire to have, a working knowledge of the English language and curriculum.
