In Response To: Western Cholera and pestilence in China (Turnoi, the Only One and Real Turnoi)

I disagree with Turnoi here on a common sense issue instead of "the" law.

Sure, it's against the law to work on an S visa but it's an unrealistic one as most foreigners need some way of making money to live in China with their wife.

At least getting legal permission to support her own business.

The alternative is to get the ONLY job they can by working for some shit school in order to be granted permission to live and make money in China.

Due to the visa issue being so stupid - I say to the other chap, do what you can to make an honest (besides working on an S) living and being with your wife.

Depending where you are and how she conducts her business you should be fine.

Nobody in China has any say in the law and just need to live with it due to the government.

They can't be overthrown.

Do what you can to stay :-)
