No hard feelings, I hope. You know, it's rotten when Chinese employers issue contracts to foreigners to teach and the English version is not an accurate translation of the Chinese version, which both versions are guaranteed to be on the first page of the English version, and later they might well apply the Chinese version to their advantage when there is a dispute about one or more of the clauses.

But it's ten times worse when officialdom plays that kind of dirty game. Even worse, they cover themselves further by giving themselves the right to amend Beijing's visa regulations. I needn't go into detail what the Chinese clause was in their official rulebook, as a poster asked me to do in another thread. If he doesn't believe me, that's too bad - I care not in the least. The point is if the English is wrong, they dhould at least apply the rules according to what is written down if they wish to play fair. No way, Hose!

What a piece of nomnsense insisting on foreigners eith Chinese spouses taking full medicals annually. If iy's about STDs a simple blood test is all that is required. I wouldn't object to that!

Anyways, you can bet I'm getting my own back. One bad turn deserves another...LOL!
