I meant to say they don't care if you are looking for employment or not-they just don't care, if you want the 1 year RP it is a requirement. We cannot control or change the laws here. Hence many expat FT's will leave. I know it is causing you trouble, but as you said yourself, things have changed. And they will continue to do so sadly it seems.
