The county police came here this morning to check my wife and I live here, and to check the flat's purchase contract, in case we told a lie.
Wife out, downtown in Hohhot to collect my medical from the hospital to submit to the PSB in the morning. I will get my new RP on the 23rd, in the meantime my passport remains in the hands of the Hohhot PSB, ridiculous. I've applied for a 2-year RP despite having been told I'll only get a 1-year one, though I know they can give me a 2-year one, the mean sods that they are!
A new hoop to jump through - my wife had to write a letter of invitation inviting me to stay on. She did this on the 9th. My RP expired on the 11th. Despite giving them a photocopy of the receipt for the medical, they still also need the medical report. God knows why they need that -I'm retired, and not seeking a job!
It's all a crock of shit!
