Lessons & Classroom Games for Teachers
The Hunt
(Adapt this to your own school and student level.)
This game promotes group English activity (team work), use of a dictionary and comprehension of complex sentences. Students must write full sentences. They are very motivated by an action game like this. In Korea I experienced some college students cheating. A few will do all the work and the rest act passively. You can offer a prizes for the first, second and third team finished or make the game one for individuals. Your choice. You can even make this the exam!
