How do you manage your anxiety and stress? Below are some suggestions that can help you to greatly reduce your stress and anxiety levels.

Do other activities.

If you're feeling stuck or overly stressed from work or school, take time to go out for a walk. Avoid excessive amounts of stress as much as possible. Don't carry extra stressful baggage on your shoulders for too long. You might get caught in the full cycle of anxious thoughts which can lead to negativity and thus, you won't be capable of accomplish things.

Redirecting your thoughts by engaging yourself in other activities will divert those anxious and stressful thoughts away.

Think positive and do positive affirmations.

Whenever you are caught in a stressful situation or having anxiety attacks, slowly take a deep breath, and think of happy thoughts. These thoughts can be any of your past memories from childhood. You can also think and visualize an object that makes you feel comfortable, happy and safe.

Positive affirmations can also work wonders too. Say positive statements about yourself to drive your worrisome thoughts away.

Smile.

One quick fix to shake off your bad mood is to smile. There are lots of reasons to smile. Sometimes, even the smallest things can make us turn our sad face to a grin. You can also focus on reminiscing about a fun and good time you had earlier on your life.

All these can help you put a smile on your face. You can just smile or laugh with no apparent reason at all. The important thing that matters is you feel good about yourself.

Talk to a trusted friend.

Being stressed and anxious once in a while is healthy. But too much anxiety can be deleterious to your health. Most of the time, expressing what you really feel can really make a big difference.

Try to give any close friend or relative a call. Tell them how you feel and ask for their honest advice. Listen to them and create actions based on their given guidance.

Turn your anxiety away.
