5 Ways to Gain More Confidence

Confidence is a feeling that describes how sure you are of your skills and abilities. It is true that you feel confident wherever you have a lot of certainty in your ability to do something that is required of you. Confidence helps to remove feelings of insecurity about various things in life such as physical appearance, speech, lifestyle, habits, work, or even family. It's a common prediction in psychology that the more self confidence you have, the more likely you'll be successful. Life involves risk, so we need to possess the confidence to face it. Risks can be scary, but taking them can make us feel alive. If you want to learn how to gain more confidence, here's how.

a. Don't give up--In most areas of life, confidence is grown through practice. Some may have more natural ability and build-in self confidence than others. If you lack confidence, don't let it have a negative impact on your life. Your only choice must be to overcome it, by building more confidence.

b. Just face your fears, even if you're have little experience--You may fail in first few attempts at something new, but be prepared to shake it off and try again. With each attempt, you'll come to know the activity so well and feel so comfortable with it that you'll wonder what you ever worried about. For example, riding a bike is scary the first time. You're afraid you'll fall and hurt yourself. Instead of giving up due to the risk of injury, you keep trying and eventually ride that bike like a pro. With every successful attempt, you gain more confidence.

c.Motivate yourself--Tell yourself you can do it, whether it is for an interview or for a presentation. This way, you will find your confidence level growing. Each day after work or study, just make a list of some things that you did well. This is also a good way to motivate yourself.

d. Make a list of your accomplishments--An accomplishment is an accomplishment; it may be small or big, but any accomplishment is important. Looking at the list of your accomplishments definitely increase your confidence level.

e. Relax--Relaxation is a great life enhancer. One of the methods is through meditation. How can you not gain confidence in your personal abilities, if you can master something that makes you feel so good? If you want to gain more confidence, these tips will definitely help make it happen.
