Motivation Tips

You've Got to Get Moving
By:Fred Nicklaus

What are your goals? Would you like to be a better student, more efficient employee, more involved mom or dad, or a friend that others can count on? Would you like to lose weight, become more healthy and fit, take up a new hobby that inspires you, or learn something that you knew absolutely nothing about?

People have many different goals. These goals are truly things that would motivate the individual and make them proud and happy to have achieved the goal. Before you can achieve the goal there is a very important step to remember. You've got to get moving.

Sometimes the moving never happens because the person starts thinking of all the effort and hard work that it's going to take to achieve the goal. Before long the person has talked themselves out of even trying to get started towards the accomplishment of the goal even though the goal truly is something that they would like to accomplish.

Life is too short. Why go through life worrying and wondering if you have the talent to achieve your goals. Just by taking the first step in the direction of the goal you put a momentum into place that can not only help you achieve the goal at hand but also fuels the belief and enthusiasm to accomplish many other goals you wish to achieve.

Let me give you a personal example. Over the past year I've talked to you about my goal of developing business on the Internet. I find it to be very challenging and stimulating. I learn something new everyday. I would never have started on this mission if I had listened to the many people who thought that it was next to impossible because I had such limited computer experience. I found that as long as I kept working and learning and putting one foot in front of the other that I was learning more and more. I believed that I could do it if only I kept on and surrounded myself with people who knew more about computers than I did.

It really is true, if there's a will you can usually find a way. It's sad to see people who have not found their will. A way will always show up. Get on with it and you'll be surprised how the answers come straight to you.

Believe in yourself and get going,
