Power Affirmations - How to Write Your Own Power Affirmations
By:Andrew Stone

If you look around on the internet, you will find hundreds and hundreds of power affirmations in many different categories. Searching through them can be a time consuming task, and most people find it hard to find ones they are happy with. Truthfully, it is extremely easy to write your own affirmations. It consists of 3 simple rules.

It is important that you pay close attention to these rules even though they are really simple. If not done right they may backfire, and you don’t want that!

Here they are…

1. The affirmation should always be in the first person. You must understand that you are improving your own self talk. And self talk is always in the first person, thus your affirmations should be too.

2. It should always be in the present tense. Never the future or the past, since that is against the purpose. The subconscious mind always thinks in the present moment, so you should craft your affirmations the same way too.

3. The affirmation should always be in a positive tone. This also means that it should not be a reverse of a negative. Your subconscious mind picks up on the feeling of the word you are uttering at the very moment. It does not analyze what you are saying.

For example: “I am not unhealthy” is wrong. “I am healthy” is right.

Writing your own affirmations can be a bit un-easy at first, but you will get the hang of it after a while. Then, searching for power affirmations will be useful only to get ideas for your own creations.
