What You Resist, Persists Because of YOU!

In this week's Transformation Enabler, we are going to talk about RESISTANCE.

The Law of Resistance states that "What You Resist Will Continue to Persist."

We have probably heard this phrase used many times by many teachers in the field of metaphysics and psychology. But what does it really mean and how does it apply to your life directly? This is what we are going to discuss in this post.

Let's look at RESISTANCE. Resistance is: Offering an energy to counter-act with something we don't like. This energy is mostly negative.

Let's look at the truth of that statement. When you don't like something or allow something to be the way it is, you are creating resistance towards that thing. Let's make this even more specific. Let's say that you are unable to have as much financial abundance as you want. When this is the case, you create resistance to the feeling that the thought produces.

This resistance can be in the form of irritation, annoyance, anger, depression, or any other forms of negative feelings. However, as you continue to resist the reality of being unable to have as much financial abundance as you want, you are giving more negative energy to the thought of financial abundance. We have learned earlier on that what we give our energy/attention to will continue to expand.

This is why when you resist something, you are allowing it to persist and EVEN GROW LARGER. The more you resist it, the more REAL you are making it! As you resist it, it continues to persist due to the attention that you are giving to it.

So what's the solution? The solution is to simply allow WHAT IS to BE. Give space for WHAT IS to BE so that it can run itself out. Realize that any thought that comes in has to go out on its own. The thought "I am unable to have the financial abundance that I want." is simply a thought that will run itself out of your mind when you focus on something else, or when you just allow yourself to feel the thought and then decide to shift.

However, what most people do, is to begin to create resistance. Begin to fight against the thought, thereby giving more energy to the thought and therefore allowing it to persist in the mind. As long as it continues to persist in the mind it will get larger and larger until it becomes a reality in your physical world. Your fighting against it only makes it bigger!

Realize this. Allow the thought to run itself out through 1) FULLY EXPERIENCING IT and then letting it go, or 2) SHIFT YOUR FOCUS OFF IT and not give anymore energy to it.

Be more aware the next time you have a thought that you don't like. Don't fight against it unless you want it to get bigger and finally show up in your physical world. Don't resist it and it will simply flow out of your experience and allow something new to come into your experience.
