Motivation Tips

Can't We Just Be Motivated Today?

How many more times are we going to put off today what we can do tomorrow? Doesn't it seem like a never ending question? I will look for a job tomorrow. I will stop smoking on Monday. I will get into shape starting next week. I will start saving money at the beginning of the month.

This can go on forever unless we just start doing something about it today. Activities left unresolved have the ability to drain a great deal of energy out of us. Bring back your energy by cleaning up all the old business and putting it to rest. Pay the old debts, discard old things, and tie up all other loose ends. Projections in the future never seem to be in the positive. Basically this means that we will attract what we put out there. The easiest way to control what we put out there is through our expectations.

A personality who creates a habit of thought makes for little daily action, and is the one who sooner or later would be rewarded by a world that has no use for indecision and mere drift. Make yourself a transmitter of ideas instead of a passive receiver of them. The power of thought was man's secret of wonderful discoveries in the area of science and technology. Remember this and start to think positive.

Thinking positive creates good work habits. We all love to learn and there’s a wealth of great information and knowledge for us to absorb, but learning how to select what’s best is part of developing positive work habits. We need to learn how to determine what’s valuable and what is not. When your current situation is actually making you feel unfulfilled or just plain unhappy, you're unlikely to make any effort to leave it. Just try to be comfortable with what you are doing but willing to make changes. Success in life is a result of getting involved. One cannot win by standing on the sidelines. Fear of rejection, confrontation, and loss keep us from trying new things.

Everyone has fear to some degree. Realize that it will not be as bad as you imagine and go forward. The easiest way to control what we put out there is through our expectations. From this point forward, expect success in all that you do. People get what they continually focus upon. Pay more attention to how the situations "feels", then the exact form you were expecting it to look like. Let go of end point expectations and stay with the focus. Change good habits for better ones and even a change of scenery may help.

Pleasant or not, that change breaks the routine. Stay focused on Today and Today only. Work on other things tomorrow. Things only happen today for a much better tomorrow. Stay focused, positive and imitate others who are happy and successful. This makes for a happy tomorrow!
