Most of you are probably familiar with how failure seemed to haunt Abraham Lincoln, or Thomas Edison. Did these people give up? No. Instead, they persevered and used their defeat as a catalyst to try again, not as an excuse to bury their heads in the sand.

Failure is the best teacher we have when you take advantage of all the lessons to be learned. If you tried to start an online business and failed to make any money, for example, the best approach is to sit down and make a record of all the things you tried. Then, make a list of those things that you need to find more information about before you proceed to try again. The next best thing to do is to ask for help. Don't be afraid to learn from others, and, in all likihood, most people will be glad to help.

If you don't know anybody that can help you to learn, there are a host of web sites and web resources available. You need to invest in yourself. There are free business newsletters; there is free information available on some web sites that can give you a leg up on the basics you need to know. There are courses you can buy, and there are e-books available. The greatest method of conquering fear is to take action and not let a setback cast its' dark shadow on the rest of your life.
