Motivation Tips
Busy for the sake of being busy is an overwhelming dangerous excuse for not wanting to get involved with life. You feel like you are multitasking on steroids. Expending energy but not seeing or showing any results.
1) Decisions not made correctly. Your decisions are impaired because you can't think clearly- too much input. Solution: Take the necessary time to step back from the issue, literally walk away for a few minutes. Think of something else during this time. Then go back to the problem with a new perspective.
2) Real time wasters. When you feel or see yourself moving the "piles of Dirt" of tasks from one place to another, the time wasted is stressful and distressing. Solution: Plan and prioritize, yes it only takes a few minutes but it is well worth it. Is the task worth your time or can you delegate it to someone else? Can you integrate several tasks together to make it more interesting yet save time? Use these questions the next time you think you are doing "busywork.
3) Relationships start to fall apart. You feel like you are not giving your best to the one's you care about most. Solution: discipline your self to turn off the electronic leaches you have, the cell phone, voice mail, e-mail and pagers. Tell your loved ones that your are making a special quality time appointment with them and do something spontaneous.
4) Your health starts to deteriorate, you are not getting enough sleep. Solution: Nurture yourself by planning a decent meal and quiet time. A frozen dinner, put in a nice dish and sitting at the table with a lit candle and quiet music will do wonders for your mind and body.
5) Your feeling of not doing enough, not being enough to others, what will 'they' say? Remember you can't please every one, people are unique and individual. The only person you can please is yourself. Solution: Make a list of everything you are grateful for. The list can be as long as you like. For starters be grateful you can read, write, enjoy the sunshine, walk you see the simple things, then expand on this.
You see by realizing you have these traps, resolve to solve the issues and reduce your stress. You will feel better, look happier, and start to be more abundant.
