Motivation Tips
There are Two main symptoms synonymous with a lack of motivation, Confidence and Direction.
If your Confidence has been affected and you feel that you cannot do something, this will leave you feeling that you won't succeed. It will add to the belief that it's not worth trying.
If you are not certain what you want out of life it is difficult to have Direction. Many people lose their way by not having a plan. "If you do not know where you are heading, you will end up somewhere else".
It only takes a couple of things to go wrong for us before we can begin to let negative thoughts creep into our minds. Maybe we lose a promotion in work, our relationship ends or we get fired from work. Any of these things can add to our low mood by eating away at our confidence and resolve. If more than one negative thing happens, then our confidence can take a real battering.
At times like this it is very important to think positive, think about our many achievements and do not get focused on what is happening at the moment, negative thinking will only send us into a downward spiral. Confidence can only e raised when fed by positivity. I have always found it useful to make a list of my achievements, maybe the times you won when things were against you. Carry the list with you, think about the feelings you experienced when you achieved. The feelings will help you to feel positive and get back to the self belief that you "can".
A lack of Direction is the other symptom for the "Stuck" feeling. Many people drift through life without a real purpose or plan. This can work for some people, but others may need a focus or a blue print of where they are heading. If you can think of life as a journey like say your holiday or vacation you don't just arrive there, it requires a plan. Life requires a plan too, if you know the final destination or where you want to be in say Five years, then you can plan the route of how to get there.
A significant number of people who use the services of a Life Coach have lost their way. If you have, try the above for yourself and get back on track.
