Motivation Tips
How can we have a healthy self-image, easy it begins with a simple smile! I bet you are saying to your self as simple as a smile? Yep it changes your mood really fast, as a matter of a fact try smiling right now, a great big one, you feel better don't you if not try again. Now you can feel it, good it's a start, one way to do this is to understand that you are a child of God and know that he loves you unconditionally and he or she will never leave or forsake you, of this you can be sure, you are his or hers greatest achievement and he will never stop loving you, just as your earthly father will do what he has to do to protect his family.
Now that is only one way we are going to look a little deeper and try to get some good stuff to make our jobs easier to have a healthy self image. Now this is what you do, you get a pen and a peace of paper and start listing all the victories that you have ever had, now don't pass this up and think it is foolish, because it is really important step in our journey to mental excellence.
You must just start with the day you got married how you felt. Well that is just one victory and another could be when you first road your bike without the training wheels. Now once you get started you will get on a roll and come up with plenty and you will see that you have won quite a few victories and that is how we start on the rode to having a healthy self-image!
Now as you list all the victories, even the smallest you can think of, they will start to build up and you will start to see your life is full of victories and the list keeps growing and growing. As you are writing the list down this will bring back positive feelings and everyone wins all around you and yes you even feel happier and more alive.
Now when your self-image slips below the bottom rung on the ladder then please get out the list with all the positives that have ever happened to you and you will see that hey, this happened I made it, that happened I made it and these are all victories that I have had. So no matter where you are at, carry this list of all the positives that go along with all the victories that you have ever had.
Now when you see the bad coming or your self-image is getting low you will want to whip out the list and see that you have conquered that before and by golly you can do it again. That list will always keep you to where it is that you want to go and if you remember that, the past has been worse and you came out on top. Then there is no reason to think it will not happen again, so keep the positive self-image by keeping your victories list with you at all times and use it when you must, that’s what we made it for!
