Having No Self-confidence Sucks!

Having no self-confidence sucks! I know this because, as the saying goes, "been there, done that". Fortunately for me, I met a wonderful man who helped me so much with improving my self-confidence and now we have been married for 24 years.

One of the most important aspects of your life is your self-confidence. Having self-confidence is the key to success in life. This is what separates the successful people from the unsuccessful people. Do you think Donald Trump would be where he is today if he lacked self-confidence? He even lost his fortune at one point and built it back up to where he is even more successful now than he was before he lost his fortune.

Stop and think about the successful people you know in your life. Have you ever seen them negotiate a business deal, strike up a conversation with a perfect stranger, give a speech in front of a large audience and thought to yourself, "Why can't I be like that"? Well you can! You just have to believe that you can and work on developing confidence.

A lot of people think that hard work is the key to success. Well, that is true, to a point. What if you are a hard worker but you have always felt that you are looking at what you want to achieve from the outer part of the circle. What is holding you back from making it to the center of the circle? Are you self-doubting yourself? Are you fearful of taking a chance at what you want out of life, perhaps starting your own business, asking someone out on a date, or even fearful of rejection? This is all due to lack of self-confidence.

TIPS FOR BUILDING SELF-CONFIDENCE

You have to learn to program your subconscious with unshakable belief in yourself. You have to truly believe that nothing is impossible and that your dreams can come true.

Stop the negative self-talk. You probably don't even realize you are doing this, but throughout the course of the day there are conversations going on inside your head that are negative, which will lead to self-doubt. That little tiny inner voice telling you that you aren't pretty enough, or talented enough, or smart enough to accomplish what you want to accomplish. STOP! STOP! STOP! Turn that voice around to a positive.

The little things in life can help significantly on building your self-confidence. The way you dress, for example. Have you ever noticed that if you are wearing an outfit that you absolutely love, you feel great about yourself, your posture improves, and you are just overall happier. All of these great feelings simply because you are wearing a great looking outfit. Take care of your appearance everyday.

What are the people like that you generally hang around with? Are they downers and whiners, or upbeat and positive? If you are trying to build your self-confidence, should you be hanging around downers and whiners? Think about it.

Stop worrying about what other people are thinking! This can be a hard one to overcome but if you start thinking positive about yourself and truly believe in yourself, eventually you will stop caring about what other people are thinking and you will be able to live your life as you want to live your life.

Self-confidence comes from within. It is directly related to your emotions not your intelligence. You cannot change your self-confidence level if you are not in control of your emotions.
