Motivation Tips
With plenty of motivation, positive reinforcement and a reasonable goal, you can make your new year's resolutions come true. While you want to be successful, you must be realistic in your goal setting. For a rewarding resolution experience, read on.
Form a reasonable resolution. Do not expect to a change overnight. Do not think unreasonably. If you want to lose weight, try it in small doses. For example, set a goal to lose 5 pounds per month. It would be difficult and dangerous to lose 20 to 50 pounds per month. Be realistic in your goal setting.
Design a schedule or a plan that will allow you to meet the expectations of your resolution. Decide on how many days, weeks or months it will take do meet your resolution. Again, be realistic on setting your time. All resolutions do not always have to be met within a year.
Believe in yourself and have self-motivation. Keep a journal each day to keep track of your progress...or even if you have a downfall. Give yourself a little reward each time you meet your goal.
Form a group of friends who have similar resolutions. Support each other. Talk with others when you can feel yourself slipping from your original resolution. Get together to have discussions or form a support group when you all need a shoulder to lean on.
Keep a positive attitude. Say to yourself, "I can do this!" Do not let others put you down or let you believe that it will not happen. Do not look at the down side when you fall. Tell yourself to get back up again.
