Telling yourself New York is greater then London is laughable, really New York is far down the chain of great American cities let alone in the league of Western Europe . . .

NY is the headquarters of the United Nations (Brussels is the EU headquarters so is that the greatest city in Europe by your logic?).

NY has a 24-hour subway which is full of beggars and hustlers, unlike London which is provides buses for the 24hr party people, Thames clippers for the river oh and the LONDON UNDERGROUND which owns The New York subway.

NY never sleeps which is why it tiring, unlike London.

NY has a far higher GDP than London yet 50% of it inhabitants have to choose between health care and food kinda of a sad reflection of American society.

NY is a larger city and has a much larger metropolitan area than London < wrong London is -1,706.8 km2 and New York is - 1,214.4 km2.

After Hollywood, NY is the second entertainment capital of the world. . . actually it would be Bollywood (no lie) and the West End destroys Broadway!

New Yorks metropolitan area has the largest ethnic Chinese population outside of Asia, far larger than Londons . . . They are both extremely diverse cities dont know why this matters but anyway there are more ethnic/nationalities represented in London then New York.

New York get sold to tourists by Manhattans "Tall buildings" and is highly over rated there are many better American cities. New York is a city well past its hay-day yes it has its own little charm but so do many places. New York is not even in my Top 10 great cities
