Scrapbooking in Camarillo, California
By:Audrey Okaneko

The Camarillo area offers many tourist attractions, great for creating a scrapbook of your stay in Ventura County.

The Camarillo Ranch House was built in 1892. The House has been renovated to preserve the property as a cultural, educational and event center. The most notable structure on the Ranch is the large, white Victorian Camarillo House. The 4 1/2 acre Ranch also includes a large red barn, a stable and tack room.

The Pleasant Valley Historical Museum and Botanical Garden offer beautiful plants and trees in a park- like setting.

In nearby Oxnard, you'll want to visit The Murphy Auto Museum. It's a must see for those who enjoy cars. They have over sixty autos on display, including antiques, early classics, street rods and a large collection of Packards.

If you have children, plan to visit Ventura County Gull Wings Children's Museum. There are over 20 hands-on exhibits, a costume area, a moon room and a space center.

In Ventura, you'll find Lake Casitas Recreational Park which features camping, boating, fishing, family water park & picnicking. At the Ventura County Museum of History and Art, you'll find activities and events for both children and adults.

If you're looking for a local scrapbook store, stop by Scrap It, in Camarillo, Scrapbook Highway in Oxnard or Scrapbookers Villa in Ventura. All 3 stores can help you find the supplies you're looking for to create your scrapbook of your visit to the central California coast.

If you'd like to venture a bit further, consider the Channel Islands National Park, where you're invited to hike, camp, snorkel, kayak, bird watch, or just relax.

Whatever you enjoy, you'll find attractions in the Ventura County area.
