San Diego - Visit This Summer - The Kids Will Love It

Families visiting San Diego on vacation will find the hotels, restaurants and many attractions, are family friendly. Most of the hotels offer, connecting rooms, children's pools, recreation activities and aquatic sports, that appeal to kids and grown-ups. The restaurants have special children's menus, outdoor dining, and booster chairs. For the times you would just like to relax in your hotel, they offer take-out orders and some will even deliver.

The city has miles of sandy beaches with the perfect spot to sunbath, or to indulge in some activity, like Surfing, bike riding, rollerblading, volleyball games or building sand castles. There are also picnic areas and play areas for the younger kids.

But the beach and water is not all San Diego has to offer. There are Museums, aquariums and theme parks. Enjoy the Giant Dipper, a wooden roller coaster which opened in 1925; the Tilt-A-Whirl- a three-story drop tower and the Liberty Carouse, at Mission Beach.

One of the many attractions is Sea World, where you will see Shamu and a variety of dolphins, enjoy the many shows, rides, and exhibits, that including the newest attraction "Into the Blue" a nightly fireworks extrvaganza.

A family favourite is The 100 acre San Diego Zoo, with thousands of animals including the giant Pandas. For the kids there is the Children's Zoo, that gives a bird's eye view to the smallest guest, and the Multispecies Habitat, which includes elephants, condorsand jaguars. There is a guided bus tour and a skyfari aerial tram an option to walking.

Visitors can use The Old Town Trolley,a two hour narrated tour, to see some of the highlights of San Diego - Seaport Village, Gaslamp Quarter, Balboa Park and Horton Plaza, to name a few. It is a hop on, hop off tour which gives passengers the option to stop and explore, to shop or to dine.
