Resume and Interview Tips

Resume Writing - Four Ways to Make Your Resume Standout
By:Kendell Williams

Companies receive resumes all the time from job seekers. It's quite a bit of work for them to interview every single applicant. The resume is their way of sorting out who would be the best candidate for the position. Learn these strategies I'm about to share and you'll be on your way to companies calling within days or even sooner.

Give your resume a title that stands out - As strange as this may sound, giving your article a title will cause employers viewing your resume to be intrigued by your creativity and stop to study what you're all about. If you're an electrician, your title should be something like "Top Notch Electrician," especially if that statement is true.

Give a brief introduction about yourself - Most people tend to write a statement as to what their objective is for a job. Employers want to know what value you have to bring to the table in order to make their company better. What characteristics and good working habits do you possess that will add to the employers? Paint a picture that will stand out in the minds of the employers you seek when a position is open and they'll be calling you.

List all your employers you working for before. Include your position and all your responsibilities. The more detailed you are, the better. Writing a resume is like writing a bio of yourself or a profile for a social networking site. If your experience matches the requirement of the position, chances are you'll being on your way to getting hired.

Another important piece of information is any special skills you have, organizations you've joined related to the position, or any special training you've received that will be of use to the company you seek. These factors add credibility to your resume that you are an expert in your field. Employers love to hire experts so establish yourself as one.
