By:Jennie Gandhi

No matter how eager and desperate are you to get a rewarding job in a specified organization or firm, lying on your resume will never prove to be beneficial. There are many people who make this mistake to hide flaws in their career history. The key factor attributing to this lying is the increasing competition in the job market. Everyone is becoming fierce to catch hold of a good job and to attain this goal there are going to all extent. Surprisingly, there are few people who feel they are too smart in lying and so they create an outstanding image of themselves based on a false and weak foundation. But what's the outcome?

Researches and studies have analyzed that almost 80% of the applicants lie on their resumes. Some of the most common lies found by researchers are inflated titles, inaccurate dates to cover gaps in employment, listing false employers, false certifications, inflated accomplishments, overstated salary packages, incomplete degrees, and exaggerating roles and duties.

When these lies are fearless written on resumes applicants often forget that employers are smarter than them and can easily catch hold of such lies. Almost all employers in the market today do background check and if something wrong comes out then the applicant is of no where. Furthermore, pre-employment testing, and drug screening can also help employers read the lies. If he or she is found with open lies, then his or her own story give a hard hit back to him.

The impacts can be devastating. If caught with the lie then there is no one to save you from the destruction of your career goals and expectations. The first and foremost impact will be your career at stake. As soon as the employer catches your lie, you'll be fired from the job. Over that the embarrassment of being fired is so distressing that no one will ever want to experience.

By telling lies you can fool employers and land into your dream job but you can never fool yourself. At some time later in time this lie will certainly steal your peace of mind and there are possibilities that you may lose your self-confidence. Even after you land into your dream job your inner conscious will always hit you within and over a period of time you will feel insecure on your job.
