How to Write a Resume to Land a Job
By:Bryan Burbank

If you have a job, are looking for a job, or thinking about finding a new job having a good resume is essential. When you think about getting a new job you must think in terms of having something to sell and what is the best way to sell it. A well written resume is one of the best tools you can have to sell yourself to future employers. It is physically impossible for you to see all prospective employers but sending a resume is the next best thing to start hiring process.

First, keep in mind your resume is the first thing that a future employer will see with your name on it. It is important that the resume looks nice and neat and should convey that you are a hard working person that is worthy of a job.

Secondly, even though it may not be fair, but employers tend to classify resumes by appearance. If you are well qualified your resume can end up in a waste basket because of the way it looks. Make sure you use a good quality of paper, a large enough font for easy reading and try to keep it to one page.

Lastly, make sure your resume is professional. Yours will not be the only resume they receive. Keep the information organized, chronological and do not fill it with unnecessary information. A poorly written resume can cost you a job. If you don't feel comfortable writing a resume on your own get some help.
