Wow, that's suspiciously sweet, alright. Although I'm not sure there's enough money in the world to be worth living in Taiyuan. Ugghhh....

Any mention of a Residence Permit? This could be a private center, mei-you license to hire foreigners or issue permits, getting desperate to hire a white face. If so, we'll be seeing a lot more like this in the coming months.

Of course, if some readers don't know, getting a residence permit is an absolute requirement when getting a job in China. Always has been, and the rules surrounding all this are not as lax as they used to be. NEVER TAKE A FULL-TIME JOB THAT CAN'T OFFER YOU A LEGAL WORK AND RESIDENCE PERMIT.

If this isn't a Permit problem...wonder what is? Or- God help us- could this be on the level?!?

I wouldn't assume it's our old friend Sang Xing/Frank Zhang/Allen Zhang/David Zhang/etc. etc. etc. There are a LOT of Zhangs in China...as no one knows better than ol' Frank. This COULD be Frank, but also may not be.
For one thing, that salary is awfully high for a Frank Zhang job...
