while it is true there are many "crappy" schools in China. You do need to be careful of most recruiters.
I wonder though, why many of the schools made this list. I am sure most deserve it. Then again, i have seen many westerners come here expecting western standards and then are very disappointed, as well as feeling lied to and ripped off.
here is what i can tell newbies
be careful, especially with regards to recruiters. do not expect western standards here. try and keep an open mind.

I have used a couple recruiters. I also used one from the list. Charles Chen from the Yulun Education Group. here is what i can tell you from my experience. Charles placed me in a school that did not live up to his promises nor my expectations. i thought i was screwed, especially since i was hesitant in using a recruiter in the first place! I called Charles to let him know i was not happy, and the reasons why. I have to tell you, i was actually impressed. It turned out it was NOT Charles but the school itself that was breaking the contract. Charles went to bat for me to make things right. There was another teacher there as well. they were not so lucky. they had nobody to fight for them.

I was glad I had Dr Chen in my corner... I would use him again, and I have recommended him to friends. I am not sure why he made this list.... but as i said... things are different here in China and it really does help to have some one guide you through the red tape and the "cultural differences" that will occur.

hope that info helps
