A Western university degree is generally accepted as a guarantee of aptitude and ability. A native speaker of English holding such a degree is usually intelligent and literate. So that kind of person oftentimes possesses the prerequisites in terms of innovative qualities and language skills necessary to become an excellent teacher quickly if he (or she) works at it.
