I am currently working for New Century in Dalian and also am astounded by the criticism directed towards what has only been a wonderful place for me to work. I am always paid on time, the Chinese staff are friendly and helpful, the CEO is competent and generous, the materials are world class, and there's really nothing to complain about as long as one is a good teacher. Those who complain are likely the ones who couldn't cut it and found themselves in conflict with management because of their own shortcomings or wrongdoings, and now they have lots of free time to publish rubbish on internet forums.

Again, New Century is an upstanding school. If it had problems in the past, it is to their credit that they've fully resolved those issues, learned from mistakes or trial and error, and now are running a tight vessel.

If anyone would like to meet me, I will gladly come out of the school and have lunch with you and discuss whatever issues you think are relevant. It's time for disgruntled failures of teachers to stop throwing stones at a truly upstanding institution.

OK, that was a load of crap. I wrote it for a lark just to show how easy it is for ANYONE to write such a thing. You'll notice I didn't include any real information, because I don't have any. I don't work for them. I'll just add that I'm very suspicious of a teacher defending a school so tenaciously as one poster has, unless he is in cahoots with them on some level beyond just being a teacher at a base salary.

Hard to know what is real or not when reported on the internet, unless explicit details are given, or an argument is very persuasive. I like that babbypants, or whatever his name was, pointed out the errors in one accolades praises of the school. That kind of fact checking can help us be clear on whether to consider working for such a school or not.
