Being new to this, most of the job postings I come across are through internet via recruiters. There are lots of recruiters with lots of schools, so I see few schools listing directly. How can I access these number of schools that go through recruiters by not using recruiters? Is it considerered shady to use recruiters to drop names of schools, then contact those schools directly? Is it an acceptable practice to "cold-call" schools/universities via their home page (if there is no HR contact) with inquiry emails? Any advice on direct contact is graciously appreciated.
Follow-up question. Why don't more schools do their own listings, especially because of many a dubious reputation of the recruiter? The internet seems dominated by them. Thanx.
