I have been contacted by Witty to "fill in" when their full time teacher isn't available. Should I be worried?
Anyway, I've been in Tianjin for a while and I still haven't seen a nice school (that being the proper name). Mostly, my impression is that the Chinese have understood that it is a good business to earn money so they open a lot of schools, but then they don't know how to run them and certainly don't have the same school standards as in Europe (but, I mean, WHAT in China has the same standards than in Europe????). I'm sure you all have a lot of anecdotes like me...
All the criticism about the school looks to me pretty in line with how things work in China: you work many hours (referring to the 8 without a break), have no holidays (I was once offered a contract where I had 6 DAYS of holidays a year...thought that was a joke), and generally things are done badly and not carefully.
