ESL/EFL ORGANIZATIONS: PLEASE POST THIS ON YOUR BOARD WITH THE OTHER SERIOUSTEACHERS.COM SCAM POSTS.
seriousteachers.com, and their other sites, allestrarecruiting.com, engcanada.com, transquotation.com, seriousscholars.com, seriousesl.com, studystudy.com and others are a sophisticated and ongoing fraud on our industry.
we own an international language school in japan, we had to be certified by the japanese ministry of education in order to have our license, and it was a very difficult license to obtain.
we discovered seriousteachers.com and posted a test ad looking to hire a teacher for our school. soon hundreds of the same emails began spamming our mailbox. hundreds! they all appeared to be coming from the same 4-5 teachers. one of the teachers we recognized from another ad we ran long ago, and had received their resume. we contacted that teacher and they said, they were not looking for a job, and had not sent out any resumes on seriousteachers.com.
we quickly found out the teachers were not sending those emails. the emails were all coming from email address: teachers@seriousteachers.com.
we immediately sent an email to seriousteachers.com requesting them to remove our test ad. they did not. the spams kept pouring in and we had to contact our internet provider to blacklist their spam. when they discovered that we blocked their spam, they began using admin@engcanada.com and admin@allestrarecruiting.com, sending still more resumes and demanded payment from us to stop the spam. we refused and then they responded by sending us a screenshot of a fraudulent post they placed on their phony message board. the phony message context was that our school was asking teachers for visa money to apply for a job at our school. we were shocked and took immediate action. (see below as their site was temporarily removed from the internet by their service provider and the fraudulent and libelous post was removed).
i then discovered that they are on the esl, and tefl blacklist as a fraud on our industry.
i contacted their domain provider to find out the companies contact information, because all of their sites, seriousteachers.com, transquotation.com, etc. have no contact information. (which should have been our first red flag). i discovered they are using a company called, privacyprotect.org to hide their registration identity. only companies involved in fraudulent internet schemes, like spamming and nigerian style con-games use that service.
unfortunately many advertisers, and teachers think its a legitimate sight. so, we contacted every advertiser on their sites via email and phone. we noticed that immediately many of the advertisers began to pull their ads from their fraud sites.
their phony allegation has been taken very serious by us. and they are not only going to be held for libel, but for cyber criminal anti-terror laws, which are covered under any country that is a member of the united nations.
as proof of their fraudulent scheme, remember, that we posted a test ad. test ads cannot reach teachers directly. there is NO WAY to contact teachers through a test ad, unless you first pay money -- we never paid any money. there free test ad, was a fraud, it was not free. the emails we received -- had no teacher contact info., each spam was filled with false links that led to a pay for each teachers contact information page.
doing a cursory inspection. the sites pattern became obvious. if a school or recruiter spotted their scheme and notified them, they did the same thing to them.
we won't tolerate this site and are doing all we can to stop it.
do not support these fraudulent sites, that appear to offer a legitimate service, but in reality are a front to their fraudulent scheme.
when i contacted their webhost, the sites were taken offline immediately. i also contacted the local district attorney in quebec where they reside. they discovered that i was also an attorney, found a new hosting provider, and they pulled their libelous statement about our school off their blog immediately. my communications to their emails now bounce back to me as if they are no longer in business.
conclusion: seriousteachers.com is a fraud. it has a false front of looking like a legitimate business and receive many visitors to their site. people that are all looking for a job in a bad economy, and this fraudulent scheme is taking advantage of these teachers and institutions.
please, don't use seriousteachers.com. transquotations.com, allestrarecruiters.com, engcanada.com and any other of their false sites, as the same pattern exists on each site. and each page has obviously been designed by the same person. each site -- no way to communicate, and no address, phone or even an email address is provided.
