Ironically, this sounds similar to the TEFL school in Guadalajara where I wasted $1500 plus accommodation. They guaranteed everyone a job. They spent about 2 minutes trying to find me one and that was it. The school was horrible: I learned almost nothing (thank god I already had teaching experience), one of the teachers made a racist remark against Britians in addition to not having a clue how to teach, the director never left his office and I don't think he was interested in speaking to any of us students, etc. I have to wonder if these two organizations aren't connected. (Teacher Mex I believe was created a few years after I attended the school in 2005) By the way, I now live in Mexico City and can recommend this city for one-on-one teaching. I can also understand how these 2 companies get away with the lies and deceit.
