I worked there for one year from 2008.

It's not the best, it's not the worst.

Workload was OK- around 14 lessons a week, pay at 4000RMB (for a starter salary).

The campus location is nice, there's plenty of decent restaurants, the people are friendly, there's a few things to do around campus sports-wise (soccer, ping pong etc).

The town itself is a bit uninteresting, but that's a lot of China for you. There's a few good bars there and seems to be a decent expat scene for a city of that size.

I have no idea why some people are so negative about the place.
