In response to Re SCHOOL IN BINZHOU by Ivy (Brightside)

This seems to be the disease of grovelhood at its preliminary stage, when said victim drowns himself/herself in the ideaology of projecting their egos into a supposedly fixable world and believes any ideas overtly negative must come from people who have unstable mentalities or abnormal agendas.

If the real world of the esl business in china, once said individual experiences the harshness and reality, they may either wake up to the fact that all isn't fun and roses, or they may enter a deeper stage of denial, we call this the "This is China" stage where they pretend to accept things they don't understand, and claiming to understand the process of how things work when in fact they haven't got a clue. During this stage they are fighting to keep the unicorns in the sky from flying too far away and writing letters to the Elf union in the north pole to persuade them to not go on strike against Santa Claus. They also may believe that they can still hitch a ride with the Dragon taxi on the corner of Jiefang Road and Yangtze River Street near the International Business Bulding where there's also a bus station to the 1st, 23rd, and 40th buses that all end at the Neverland garden of utopia.

The final, most debilitating stage of grovelhood involves said individual gaining a position of pretend importance through attaing a title such as that of a DOS or simply by working in china for too long and buying into the propaganda of too many ordinary things in life. The individual then believes himself/herself to a real conduit of progression in said host country. This brings about a total delusion of the ego where the individual believes the very corrupt body/system which helped them attain this pretend position of importance is in fact, real in its significance and needs to be maintained at all costs.

One must realize that at this stage the disease is hard to cure. As said individual drowns himself/herself in dogma after dogma of ideas such as "...developing country...", "culture", "..many good training centers and teachers at those training centers...". This individual believes criticism which is too harsh at the hand which feeds him/her/it ends up in complete denial of where the very heart of the problem lies since food and the desire to survive is part of the basic human instinct. They view these attacks as attacks on their very right to survive, so they lash out with further dogmas and unproven theories of "...you people find it too hard to make the effort to bring real progress...", "______, _______, and you have an axe to grind...", "I LOVE CHINA THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT!!", etc.

By the time we proverbially listen to these individuals finish banging on their keyboards, we can imagine these folks, frothing at the mouth, shaking their fists, and knocking their knees at the indiginity of people who could speak out against them and EVEN BRING UP THE IDEA OF there being anything wrong with the pretend "education" world of china with the pretend "schools" which occupy the country like a plague. Truly we can only imagine the terrifying sight of these hapless folks. Certainly for me the picture of a rabid canine during the late stages of hydrophobia come to mind.

To the souls of this board who bring this illness to light so that the rest of us can see it, such as Kevin of York, Happy in China, and many others who pop their heads up in these boards now and then, we can only hope you find an experience which will be the medicine that cures you of this state. In the meantime we need to not let the spit hit too many people who are not immune, we don't need any more sick puppies than we already have.

I have a picture of the dragon taxi, it's not a very good picture though. If you can find a better one by all means let us see it. As for the rabid dog I will need to find a decent, high quality one so as to not insult the true stature of all the pretend important folks out there, cheers!
