To be fair, I believe comparison of the Chinese insular worldview with that of the Koreans (if indeed you are talking exclusively about South Korea) to be an inappropriate comparison.
All the Koreans I have met have a much more sophisticated worldview than that which I encounter in China, and their outlook seems to have moved on from resentment over the 40 year occupation of Korea by Japan.
The Koreans I have spoke to say that the anti Japanese sentiment is mainly limited to the older generation.

I am aware of the historical circumstances relating to China's insular nature, but I still disdain it. Just because I understand something doesn't mean I have to like it.

In general, I am growing weary of this quasi-fascist nation and wonder how much more of it I can endure.

The term Fascist I use cautiously, as Fascism is perhaps the most misused and misunderstood word of the 20th century, used invariably to describe any non-communist dictatorship, or practically anyone of left wing sentiment didn't like.
The truth is Fascism has a few characteristics, and Modern China is ably fulfilling them.

I recall a conversation in 2002 with a rather educated young gentleman who was just about to enter Cambridge, who argued that China had become an unofficial fascist state.

If one considers the characteristics of fascism, most importantly being extremely nationalistic, advocating complete subservience to the state, and often practicing scapegoatism, China fulfills all this criteria.

It is extremely nationalistic, with propaganda videos being ubiquitous, and other nationalistic mythology being propagated, particularly myths about Taiwan, Tibet, and the constant doctoring of history. Complete subservience to the state is required, and rigorously enforced (LX [edited] for example).

And as for scapegoatism, there are no shortage of examples. FG [edited], pro democracy activists to name a few.

I grow weary of this country, and while there are things about it I appreciate, the glass is definitely half empty.
